You gave a full stop

You gave a full stop.
But it could have been a comma.
A pause,
a breath,
a turn of the page.
Another line waiting.
Another dawn not yet born.
But the weight pressed too heavy.
The night stretched too long.
And so the sentence ended—
sudden, sharp, unfinished.
Now we stumble through ellipses …
Words hang in the air,
questions bleed without grammar.
Love aches in fragments.
And yet—
In Christ,
the darkest day is not the final day.
The cross breaks,
the tomb cracks open,
the silence splits.
Hope walks out into morning.
So we cling to this:
Even when the page is torn too soon,
Love still writes.
Mercy still breathes.
Resurrection still whispers—
death is not the last word.
