Just Jesus- A Liturgical Call to Worship

Brothers and Sisters,

Behold the Beauty,

And

Gaze in Awe

and

Wonder

Let your hearts be warmed,

And let your spirits sing

If this be true,

It changes everything.

Just Jesus

To him be all praise and glory.

Beauty welcomes us

To bear witness, of

A portrait of God in glorious splendour,

An image of God the eternally invisible,

Bound up in flesh in God-Man,

Jesus.

Just Jesus

To him be all praise and glory.

He is the firstborn of all creation,

Preexistent

and

Powerful,

Who created all that is,

It’s all from Him,

and all for Him

Just Jesus

To him be praise and glory.

Butterflies and Badgers,

Giraffes and Gibbons,

Elephants and Eagles,

Mountains and Molecules,

Galaxies and Gamma rays,

It’s all from Him and all for Him

Just Jesus

To him be praise and glory.

Every Gift,

Every Moment,

Every point in space and time

that takes your breath away,

—Laughter and Love

Joy and Awe

Family and Friendship—

Is held together in his sweet embrace,

Just Jesus

All from Him, all for Him,

To him be praise and glory.

Beauty welcomes us,

To bear witness, of

The Eternal Son crucified,

The Eternal Son raised to life,

Bound up in flesh in God-Man,

Jesus.

He is the firstborn of the dead,

Preeminent

And

Resplendent

The beginning of the new creation.

It’s all for him and all for him

Just Jesus

To him be praise and glory.

Every hurt,

Every pain,

Every wound in space and time,

That takes your joy away,

— Sorrow and sadness,

Despair and discouragement,

Anguish and Agony—

Will be healed in his sweet embrace.

All from Him and all for Him,

To him be praise and glory.

Just Jesus

To him be praise and glory.

Beauty welcomes us,

To bear witness, of

The Fullness of God enfleshed ,

The Reconciliation from God revealed,

Bound up in flesh in God-Man,

Jesus.

He makes peace by the blood of his cross,

Reconciler

And

Peacemaker,

The restoration of all things.

It’s all from him and all for him

Just Jesus

To him be praise and glory.

Every sin,

Every evil,

Every injustice in space and time,

that breaks his heart,

— in our words and thinking,

in our words and silence,

In our action and inaction—

Will be forgiven in his sweet embrace.

Just Jesus

All from Him, all for Him,

To him be praise and glory.
